entertaining is exhausting./ 11:42 AM i haven't even had time to think while having visitors here. when you live in a city with thousands of things to see, you have to try to atleast get 100 of those things in during someone's trip here. my days have been jam packed since thursday. thursday: i took the day off of work and brought the ladies to venice beach, which i adore. that's one of my favorite places here. they loved it as well and then from there, we drove to santa monica and visited the third street promenade and the santa monica pier. the traffic coming home from all this was such a whore. the 405 is brutal and the canyon is no better. friday: i had to work until 6. straight from work, we went to universal studios citywalk to show them all the stores and etc, plus we planned on dinner at hard rock. once we arrived at hard rock, we noticed a gigantic crowd of 15 year old neon wearing, hair swooping kids. turns out shwayze(who i had never ever heard of) was doing a signing and show inside. they told us we could eat anyways and said the wait would be an hour. after waiting for longer than an hour and our little guitar not buzzing or lighting up, we decided to go check on the status. they informed us that it "just got to crazy in there so they had to close." THANKS FOR TELLING US, ASSHOLES. so, since it was now almost midnight..we settled on in n out burger and went home for drinks and 90210. saturday: drove to san diego to go to seaworld and see my buddy, shamu. it was fun as usual. the drive was three hours and we spent from 2 - 11pm inside the park. between the day there and the previous venice trip, i have quite the extreme sunburn. i think it's time to get a tanning membership again to avoid such things. AND NOW TODAY: we are going to drive around and stop at the beverly hills, 90210 house(yesss.), the playboy mansion, the wonder years home, and then the liquor store they stop at in superbad. after that, we are going to attempt hard rock for a second time and then go see "the house bunny". possibly indulge in some pinkberry too. needless to say, i am exhausted as shit..but, i am having fun. i am going to update this post with photos on monday..because that's more fun than actually working. |
